Chris Morawski made a presentation to Council requesting Council remove the restrictive covenant registered on title for 789 Highway 94. 

Council agreed they would like to review the Director of Community Services report on the matter at this time. Mr. Kirton reviewed the Information Report with Council.

    THAT Council for the Municipality of East Ferris will approve the removal of the restrictive covenant registered on title for 789 Highway 94, Corbeil, ON if the property owner makes an application to the Committee of Adjustment for a Minor Variance to recognize existing deficiencies AND THAT application is approved.

    THAT Council for the Municipality of East Ferris supports Resolution No. RC-2024-23 received from the Town of Lincoln regarding urging the Provincial Government to support increased funding to both public libraries and community museums. Recognizing these institutions as national assets and strategically investing in their potential will contribute significantly to renewing post-pandemic social cohesion, economic well-being, and community resilience.

    WHEREAS Section 284 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O., c.25, as amended, requires that the Treasurer of a Municipality shall in each year on or before March 31st  provide to the Council of the municipality an itemized statement on remuneration and expenses paid in the previous year;

    BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that Council for the Municipality of East Ferris accepts the 2023 Statement of Remuneration and Expenses itemized for each Member of Council and Member of Local Boards and Committees, as submitted.
