Mayor Rochefort advised there is a free pickleball clinic taking place June 15th at the courts behind the Corbeil Park Hall. Deputy Mayor Rooyakkers advised there will be an open house on July 5th at the East Ferris Public Library for the library renovation project.

    AND THAT a by-law to amend By-law No. 2023-55 be brought forward to the June 25th, 2024 Regular Council Meeting for Council approval.

    WHEREAS section 5.3 of the Council Procedural By-law No. 2023-55 states that there shall only be one meeting of Council held in the months of July and August;

    BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that Council for the Municipality of East Ferris cancel the regular scheduled meetings of July 23rd and August 27th, 2024;

    AND THAT a Special Meeting of Council be scheduled in accordance with Section 240 of the Municipal Act, as amended at the call of the Chair if required.

Bell Canada will be doing a delegation to Council at the June 25th regular Council meeting.

East Ferris T-Shirts

 

Council discussed selling merchandise with the East Ferris logo on it. The CAO and Deputy Clerk will look into the feasibility of doing so.

    AND THAT said by-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and sealed with the Seal of the Corporation.
