    THAT Council for the Municipality of East Ferris authorize staff to advise Circular Materials (CM) that the Municipality of East Ferris will not enter into an agreement to provide blue box services during the four (4) months transition period from September 1st, 2025, to December 31st, 2025; 

    AND THAT Council authorizes staff to begin the process of transitioning our blue box program to CM and ensure they have the information needed to take over full operational and financial responsibility for the blue box program by September 1st, 2025.

    BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT a By-law to authorize the execution of an Agreement between the Corporation of the Municipality of East Ferris and North Bay Regional Health Centre for the provision of communication (call taking and alerting) services to East Ferris Fire and Emergency Services by the North Bay Central Ambulance Communications Centre (CACC) BE READ a first, second and third time, passed and numbered 2024-13;

    AND THAT said by-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and sealed with the Seal of the Corporation.

    WHEREAS the Municipality of East Ferris' experience working with local school boards, Conseil Scolaire Catholique Franco-Nord and the Near North District School Board, has been very positive; 

    AND WHEREAS Council for the Municipality of East Ferris wishes other communities to foster the same positive relationship with their local school boards;  

    BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that Council for the Municipality of East Ferris supports Resolution No. 8.2.7 from the Town of Aurora regarding requesting the Province and the Minister of Education to assist in making school board facilities available to local municipalities on a priority, at a cost recovery rate.
