Mayor Rochefort called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Chair's Comments:
 

Mayor Rochefort advised that Lake Nosbonsing Road was completed and congratulated on a job well done.  

Mayor Rochefort mentioned that the Club Action 50+ will be hosting a Lunch and Learn session titled "Are you Okay".  This session is to be held on Monday, November 11th, 2019 at the Corbeil Park Hall.

The Municipality of East Ferris will be having its Remembrance Day Ceremony on Friday, November 8th, 2019.

Councillor Kelly advised that again this year there will be a Hallowe'en for kids at the Astorville Fire Hall on October 31st, 2019.

    WHEREAS the Planning Department has received several requests to purchase Lakeshore Road Allowance from property owners situated on islands in the Municipality of East Ferris;

    AND WHEREAS under Municipal By-law 2015-35 a By-law to adopt policies and procedures for the disposition of shoreline road allowances in the Municipality of East Ferris is not specific in guidance related to road allowance closures on islands and the islands considerations may be different than mainland considerations;

    BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that Council for the Municipality of East Ferris provides direction to the Planning Advisory Committee to treat shoreline road allowance disposition on islands in the municipality in the same manner as mainland shore road allowance dispositions.

Resolution approving Municipal Website Re-skinning

    WHEREAS in 2018 a $5,000 budget for municipal website enhancements went unspent and was transferred to reserves for future website upgrades;

    AND WHEREAS an additional $7,500 was budgeted in 2019 for website enhancements;

    AND WHEREAS VS Group currently manages and hosts the municipal website and has met with staff to discuss enhancements to our website including functionality, access to content, and design;

    BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that Council approves the quote received from VS Group in the amount of $11,215.00 plus taxes for the redesign and development of the municipal website.

    AND THAT said By-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and sealed with the Seal of the Corporation.
