Carried Mayor Rochefort4.Business Arising from the Minutes With regards to the delegation from Bell Canada at the last meeting, Deputy Mayor Rooyakkers expressed concerns that the areas not covered by Bell were not getting the promised bandwidth. CAO Trottier advised the he had met with representatives from Netspectrum today and was told they are planning infrastructure developments in the area. With regards to the letter of support from Council to the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce application to the Rural Community Immigration Pilot initiative, Deputy Mayor Rooyakkers asked if Council could invite a representative from the Chamber to make a delegation to Council regarding the program. Clerk Hanselman advised that she had invited Donna Backer, President and CEO, to make a delegation should their application be successful. 5.Declarations of Conflict of Interest- Pecuniary Interest Thereof None for this session. 6.Announcements and Updates from Council Members: Councillor Champagne advised of the funding announcement last week for the upgrades to the library as well as the active transportation trail.
