Carried Mayor Rochefort2023-281Moved byCouncillor TrahanSeconded byCouncillor ChampagneWHEREAS the East Ferris Horticultural Club has been created and is comprised of community volunteers; AND WHEREAS the Club is in the process of incorporation as a non-profit organization with the Ontario Horticultural Societies of Ontario and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs; AND WHEREAS the Club’s objectives are to plant flowers, shrubs and trees on public property as well as to promote and support gardening in East Ferris; AND WHEREAS the Municipality received a letter of request for sponsorship to aid in the Club’s fundraising efforts; AND WHEREAS the Recreation, Parks and Culture Committee recommends to Council that a donation of $250.00 be granted to the East Ferris Horticultural Club as part of their sponsorship program to assist in their fundraising efforts.
