    WHEREAS Council for the Municipality of East Ferris deems it expedient to pass three readings of the following by-law at this session; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT a By-law to amend By-law No. 2019-03, a By-law to govern the proceeding of the Council, Local Boards and Committees of either, the conduct of its members, the calling of the meetings and to establish Rules of Order , BE READ  a first, second and third time, passed and numbered 2020-12;

    AND   said by-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and sealed with the Seal of the Corporation.

    WHEREAS Council for the Municipality of East Ferris deems it expedient to pass three readings of the following By-law at this session; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT a By-law to authorize the delegation of authority to the Chief Administrative Officer for certain acts during a provincially declared emergency (human emergency  or pandemic). BE READ a first, second and third time, passed and numbered 2020-13;

    AND THAT said By-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and sealed with the Seal of the Corporation.

Emergency Control Group:
 

Mayor Rochefort informed Council that Emergency Control Group met prior to the Council meeting.  This was the first meeting of discussion that they had since the COVID-19 surfaced.

d.
Covid-19
 

Mayor Rochefort advised Council that the Emergency Control Group held its first meeting prior to Council and the group will reconvene every Monday at 1:00 p.m. until the Provincial Emergency has been lifted.  The Municipality has taken all precautions necessary to keep Council, Staff and all of its residents safe.  The municipal offices are closed to the public, but the municipal office is open and minimum staff is in.  All staff have been set up to work remotely from home if required.
