Call to Order
 

Mayor Rochefort called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Adoption of Agenda
 

Prior to approving the Agenda, Mayor Rochefort advised that MP, Anthony Rota was present at the meeting and asked Council for approval to add Mr. Rota under item 7 of the agenda - "Delegations to Council".  Council agreed as a whole.  

Under item 16 of the agenda, "Other Business", an  administration matter regarding By-law No. 2019-56 needed to be added to the agenda.

Mayor Rochefort welcomed all in attendance.  Mayor Rochefort advised that the Emergency Management Control Group held its Table Top Exercise.  It was well done, great participation.  The Municipality is now 2019 compliant.

Presentation of Certificate of Retirement
 

Mr. and Mrs. McKenzie were present for the Council Meeting.  Council Members and MP, Anthony Rota presented a Certificate of Retirement to Mr. Alistar McKenzie.  Mr. McKenzie, a resident of the municipality, retired from the Royal Canadian Airforce with 41 years of service.  Congratulations Mr. Alistar McKenzie!

MP, Anthony Rota was an invited delegation to the Council Meeting.  Council expressed words of congratulations to Mr. Rota with the 2019 Federal Elections.  Council voiced concerns to Mr. Rota regarding internet in the municipality, the need for medical office and as well the need for the new municipal building.

    WHEREAS public input was received at the public meeting of the Planning Advisory Committee held November 20th, 2019 and the Planning Advisory Committee is of the opinion that the proposal is consistent with Provincial Policy, the Municipality's Official Plan, the Zoning By-law and represents good land use planning;

    BE IT  HEREBY RESOLVED that the Council for the Municipality of East Ferris concurs with Resolution No. 2019-03 passed by the Planning Advisory Committee at their meeting held on November 20th, 2019  and approves Consent Application No. B-2019-08 and B-2019-09 (Remi Boucher) for the property described as Concession 10, Pt Lot 13, RP 36R7065 REM PART 1 REM PCL 16681 WF) (Taillefer Road) to sever a parcel of land for the creation of three new lots for residential purposes  together with those conditions as set out in the Planning Advisory Committee Resolution dated November 20th, 2019.

    WHEREAS the Recreation, Parks and Culture Committee recommended to Council that the nominations for Tim Foster and Isabelle Sauve be recommended for acceptance into the East Ferris Sports Hall of Fame for the year 2020  and the nominations for Derek Curtis, Lyse/Claude Cardinal and Suzanne Foster be recommended for acceptance into the Annual Sports Award Program for the year 2020;

    BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that Council approves of this recommendation.
