The Municipality has now received more "Slow Down" signs.  Residents of the municipality are welcome to come in at the Municipal Office and pick up a sign.

    WHEREAS the Police Services Board recommended to Council to approve the attached annual review of the Community Safety and Well Being Plan;

    BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that Council approves the prepared annual review of the Community Safety and Well Being Plan submitted by the Police Services Board.

    THAT Council for the Municipality of East Ferris accepts the recommendation from the Director of Community Services contained in Report No. PLAN-2022-06 and approve the request made by Ian and Jody Martyn (23 Durrell) & Chris Amey and Karen McClenaghan (27 Durrell) to deem a section of unopened road allowance between their properties to be surplus be approved;

    AND WHEREAS this would allow an application to be made to purchase the lands and that the future sale would be done in accordance with the policies laid out in By-law No. 2218 and valued at a rate of $0.75/sq. ft. as set out in the East Ferris Fees and Charges By-law.

Council discussed the Aggregate License application for Lavigne Road received as part of a circulation process  from the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines.  Comment deadline has been extended to August 16th, 2022.  Council will be calling a Special Council meeting to review documents and correspondence received.
